Hello

And a very warm welcome to this new blog on the subject of Endurance riding.

It's my passion and my hobby in life; a getaway from all the stresses and strains of the average working day and all the stuff that life throws at me; endurance for me is a dream and a goal; will that 160Km be achievable, eventually, at all?

Isn't that just the thing with Endurance?  How far can we actually go?  Ignoring the necessities - crew availability, timing of rides in the season, grading systems; is that 160Km within our grasp or not?

Now maybe you don't want to do 160Km in one day, are happy to do 32Km, enjoy your ride and the time spent with your horse, having a fabulous ride in wonderful scenery, with people who are like minded; well that's just fine too, this blog is also for you.

I intend to bring you all the latest from the world of Endurance, not just GB stuff, although there will be plenty of that, but reports on everything associated with endurance horses.

I currently have a five year old purebred Arabian, named Kayal, who I am breaking to ride.  This morning he decided to throw in a major paddy, throwing his toys around and generally having a tantrum.  My good friend Tracey Reeve who's helping me with him, was trying so hard to keep herself from laughing, the faces he was pulling were hilarious she said afterwards.

So I intend to keep you up to date with his progress and all things endurance - I hope you enjoy and please feel free to contribute and comment.

See you on the trail
Angela
